Awakening moments

Lately I have been having those moments of clarity. Things I have seen every day for years, but this week I have seen them in a new way.Almost like a layer of mist has been lifted bringing new meaning to all around me.I believe that this has a lot to do with the energy of Llen y Deffro and the awakening of the veil. Bringing new insights to an old way of being. As we have reached 2012 all seems so heightened in its energy and a quickening is happening all around and to all on so many layers and levels .I would like to share my awakenings of the week with you.

Many pagans and druids follow and believe in the Awen ( a Welsh word for the divine inspiration of creativity) I have no idea how old this word is and when is was first found in the written word, but as I was having a discussion with a dear friend this week and he was talking of the Awen ,I could clearly see the word Amen transfigured over it. I realised instantly the the word of Awen had become Christionised but had not become lost as so many other pagan traditions had done so. They had both become a deep rooted part of both faiths and paths with similar meaning. I saw the similarity and it became a moment of awakening for me. How lost the Awen had become within the Amen,yet how the essence was still desperately trying to be held within it. It became sad as it has lost the true essence of the divine inspiration and is now in fact a statement after a prayer, yet it still brings hop and a promise.

As I reflected on this further I realised that the symbols of )O( for the triple Goddess and the /|\ for the Awen belong together as in :

The )O( symbolising the triple stages of the Lady within the moon and the triple stages of the sun rise, full sun and sun set. The symbol of the Priestess and the Lady

The /|\ representing the Awen within the three aspects of the mind , body and soul. The three realms of the earth .The over world the under world and the being world. The Inner ,outer and alter ego's and the three stages of life. The symbol of the Priest and the Hunter.

Together the )O(
                     /|\ bring a joining and a clarity together that is the energy of the being of the soul, together as one, united within all realms and all paths. and is the true symbol of the Sisters of the Mists )O(

Witchfest 2011

I gave my first talk at Witchfest this year.
I can tell you I was slightly nervous . I have been given some wonderful advice by other talkers on what to do on the day, but it never matters how prepaid you are ,it can all go wrong. !

I was travelling up with friends and they arrived early. I had got all my books and cd's ready the night before, so I was good to go. We sleepily got in the car and set off. We had a lovely journey up, and even though we have done the journey up many times before, this year we decided to get lost. No panic we just trundelled through the most delightful villages as we headed towards Croydon.

We got to Fairfield halls will plenty of time to spare. I put my books, CD's and flyers out on the Children of Artemis stall and I felt really proud to see my works nestled there with other books and authors..

I had just finished arranging them , when I had a tap on my shoulder from a dear facebook friend that I have never met personally before. We had the most wonderful hug and had time to chat for a few moments before I had to go and be busy.

We decided to go and look around the wonderful stalls as it was still quiet, I had my birthday money burning a hole in my pocket and wanted to buy something special.I found some delightful things and saw some old friends with stalls and spent some time exchanging stories.

We had decided to take it calmly until my talk time at 12pm and moved out to the cafe for a cuppa. We had just sat down , when I heard my name and turned to see some friends who had travelled up. much chatter and laughter followed, and then another old friend from the past appeared. After a quick catch up ,I checked the time and realised I had only a few minuets left before I needed to get ready for my talk.

We arrived at the room I would be talking in and the previous talk had just finished. We went in to set up some chairs. I sat at the front with my beautiful staff. I wasn't sure how many would turn up. No one really knows who I am and would they really want to listen to a talk about the Lady and Avalon? So we tentivly put out about twenty chairs.

I sat nervously as the first few came through the doors. I had my friends either side of me and also I saw familiar faces coming in. The front chairs filled up, and I was delighted to see so many coming in.They kept coming, we had to add more chairs and they filled up too. Then when all the chairs where full people started to sit on the floor at the front. When that space was filled folk had to stand at the back. The stewards came and said they would have to close the doors as they could not fit any more in ! they stewards told me there was about 150 squashed in!

When I speak I never write notes, for I have to speak from the heart and I struggle to do that if I am reading from notes.But this was one time I was really beginning to question not having had any notes with me. I was looking at all these faces waiting for me to speak.

I took a moment to close my eyes and held my staff. I called upon the lady to give me voice and the sight to speak her word to those who were in front of me. As I opened my eyes all had changed before me. I was no longer me, She was there, She had voice. She began to speak through me and I honestly as always when I channel have no recollection of her words. I no longer saw people before me , but pure energy, shimmering and swirling up to the ceiling. Avalon had risen and the mists had lifted and I was within the Sacred Isle, as her Priestess.

Suddenly a mobile phone went off and I came too. The Lady had stepped back. and just for a moment I had no idea where I was. I quickly steadied myself and asked if there where any questions. All was quiet......... not a sound.......I looked at the clock and about 25 minuets had passed. I reached for my book and began reading some whispers.

I could feel the pull of the words reaching out to all within the room, the Lady had found them and they were hearing her. I placed my book back on the table and al remained quiet. I asked again if the room had any questions and slowly some where asked. I explained about my path, how I had come to my beliefs. I talked about the directions of Avalon, how to work with the mists and what they are. I talked about the simple ways of Avalon.

Suddenly the time had gone before me and it was time to finish. I thanked everyone for being there and received a wonderful round of applause.People began to rise from their chairs and leave the room, some came to me at the front to ask personal questions. It was absolutely fantastic to be able to talk personally with people and answer things they have held onto for such a long time.

We left the room and decided to go for another cuppa. My friends kept asking me how I felt and I can honestly say I was speechless and humbled. We began to move downstairs and folk kept coming to me saying how touched they where by my talk. That they had found it so inspirational. I really was astounded by the comments. I had talked about my passion and the truth within my soul. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever realise it would reach out and touch so many.

We passed the COA book stall and over half my books and CD's had sold. I did a happy dance. To see my book selling so well brought such joy. It is a piece of me within those pages and of course the whispers of the Lady. To know it was reaching out and was wanted, really brought joy to my heart.

We sat down at the table and talked about what had just happened. I still was finding it hard to get my words back. People kept coming and saying how my talk had touched them, a lot were saying that they had seen me change, my clothes and colour had transformed into a blue dress, others were saying how they had seen the Lady come through me as I changed into her. Some talked about the experience they had just been through. Others had felt Avalon and her energy. Others were still speechless and just hugged me. Some simply thanked me. Many shared their experience with me. It was fantastic and overwhelming, to be embraced in this way.

One lady sought me out to say that they room was so quiet as they were all transfixed, and had never experienced anything like that. Another lady came to me to say she had gone on such a journey that it had taken her about an hour to come back fully. I was so pleased that they had found Avalon, that they had felt the pure energy that I know is there beyond the mists. It was so wonderful to share it with so many. The ancients had reached beyond time, and had awakened and touched so many souls.It was a joy to behold.

We sat for a while longer  as I began to ground. Coming back to balance and the real world takes time !!!!

I then saw my friend Tylluan as she was doing her book signing and had to go as steal a hug. We had a brief moment to chat and I thanked her for all the advice she had given me in readiness of my talk. We exchanged books and I was delighted to be holding he new book "Magic on the breath " in my hands.

We had chance for a late lunch and just as we were eating I heard a voice " are you Phiona Hutton " I turned to see a young man stood behind me with a camera. I replied yes and her asked if he could interview me, He said he had been told to find me as I would make a good interview ! We moved ourselves to a quieter space and he began. I began to answer , and he fell quiet, forgetting his questions and having to check his notes.
We finished and he sat in silence, he gathered himself and said "wow " I never expected that, I asked if that was good or bad, and he replied " mind blowing " I assumed that was good !

I found my friends and we had another look around the stalls, we then went to a couple of talks. Damh the Bard was just wonderful, but our attention was on a lady in front of us who was fast asleep and nearly kept falling off her chair. I couldn't  reach her by the man in front of me kept propping her up just before she fell off the chair. We couldn't help but get the giggles and Damh was hilarious as he recounted his journey into Druidism.

I checked the time and it was time for my book signing, so we made our way downstairs, I went to get some books to set up the table and only had four left. As I took my seat a steady line gathered and I began to sign my books. It really meant such a lot to me that souls had bought the whispers and wanted them signed. I will never tire of talking to folk and signing the book. It honestly seems like a dream at times, and brings me so much happiness. I had a wonderful time and talked with everyone who came up.
It is so lovely to hear of souls journeys  and their stories.

All too soon my time was up. I suddenly realised how tired I was. I had been the most wondrous day, but exhausting.We decided it was time to head home, We had wanted to stay for the evening music, but tiredness was winning. I went to the COA stall to collect any books and CD's that had not sold and had just two books left. Well I was amazed.

What a day. To be embraced by so many, to connect with beautiful souls and energy. The day had been wonderful from beginning to end. They energy of witchfest this year had been one of the best ever.

I am so excited to have been confirmed to talk and do a workshop for Witchfest 2012, and I cant wait.

It was one of the best days I have had. So many people have connected with me since and I would like to say thank you to them all.)O(

11.11.11. energy and Avalon

The meaning of 1.11.11 and Avalon

The number 11 has always had a magical and mystical meaning. It is the vibrational number of the master. Having walked the path and become all that was before. It can often be seen as a time 11.11 when spirit is communing with us within the mortal realm.

When you see 11.11 it is the reminder of your journey and that you are on the right path.

11.11.11. is the emergence of the gateway to the rise of the planets energy. Avalon will become stronger within this time and the mists will become thinner as many are guided home to the place they need to be.

Many believe that this date will open a portal to the divine that will flow to every soul upon the planet enabling us to see past the illusion of the person and setting the soul free to its true being. We will be able to see beyond our reality and ego. Embracing our inner self and love of the divine.

Many of us in the build up to this date have been feeling a loss, alone, bereft, stagnant. Tired, disillusioned, ill. Suffering from lack of income, security, our lives feeling out of control. It is because we have to come to this point of cosmic shift with nothing. To embrace all we need to let go of our security and allow the happening with open arms.

We have not felt this energy on the planet for a thousand years and it will not happen again for another. It is the alignment of the forgotten ways

Avalon has been rising slowly for many years, but tomorrow with boost her rise, all the learning and study will quicken at this point. As we discover the beauty of the beauty and energy that we have held within us.

We are being asked to remember our oaths that we took in the mists and to hold our flame aloft as we embrace all that is and will become. The ascension is upon us and on 11.11.11 at 11.11 the gateway will open fully, allowing the energies to flood the earth. The divine Mother and she of all things will rise, even those who are not aligned to her will feel her pull and begin to question their path and ways. This is the next step in the evolutionary transformation of the planet and mankind. The forgotten ways will re emerge and flood the planet. Already the monetary systems are failing. It is time to welcome the pure energy of the divine and all it brings through the gateway.

This will be one of the largest human shifts in awareness on a mass scale that will be experienced for hundreds of years to come. Breaking the past ties and releasing the energy held we will be able to create the world and life we wish to hold. No longer trapped by our ancestor’s paths and choices. We will be able to break free and embrace the life and path we wish to walk. We are the creators in our world and this date gives us the energy to be able to so.

The Mists will part at 11.11 am and 11.11 pm on the 11.11.11 those who have been seeking without knowing will find their way home. The sisters will come together once more and Avalon will rise from the ashes. The Lady stood before those returning home with her arms open as she embraces each soul home. The wisdoms will return to the land, and the sacred energy will rise. She will awaken those who have slept and forgotten. Rather than being alone, we will all connect together. Our energy bound by our sisterhood. We will grow in number as many search and remember before. Those who have already returned home will become heightened in energy. Their own personal power balancing and aligning. The hidden truths now within reach and visible. A calm and understanding of all things. A deeper connection with nature and all things divine.

11.11.11. the numbers chanted three times invoke the psyche and soul into awakening .It will not happen again for 100 years. May will awaken and journey in that time. Generations will be born and walk the path with the numbers occurring in their daily life.

Numbers hold a magic to them that has been studied and honoured in all cultures. 11 being the maters number brings messages from within the veil that is otherwise shrouded beyond reach. At times we get glimpses by the time on a clock, a house or car number, that catches our attentions and we confirm our path as it shakes our soul to its true destiny. 11 is also the number of the spiritual messenger, that brings divine inspiration and knowledge from within the mists. It is the number She of all things. ( in Avalon 9 is the number of the Lady and 13 is the number of the Mother.)

This year 11.11.11. will not only make ready those who are awake but it within its trinity it will reach and connect with many who are lost or unaware, bringing enlightened awareness to all. We will become less of the “I am “ and more of the “we are” we will cease slightly of being individual and more of the clan and togetherness of the old ways. As 11.11.11 opens our spiritual awareness it will effect souls in different ways. In some the feeling sense will be heightened, in others it will be the empathy, or sentient, the audient or seer. It will raise the levels of the abilities in each other but also as a mass consciousness. We will become more in tune with the planet and the heartbeat of the mother. We will awaken to her energy on a global scale. No longer being isolated by countries but joined together in space and time. We will be able to be within the same room even when we are miles apart. Our senses heightened we will being to move away from material possessions and belongings and begin to work once more with all we have and not what we need.

This year is a turning point the release of the old patterns and embracing a new way of being, which in fact  is is a return to the simple ways of  our ancestors in a modern world.

11 is the vibration of duality and the flow of the rhythm multiplied by the number of the lady it is an energy that will affect us on the three layers of the mind, body and soul. 12.12.12 is more of a happening. if you think of 10.10.10 as the awakening 11.11.11 as the quickening.It is the continuation of the gateway and the emerging energy.It is not the end of the world as has been banded about. It is if you will climbing the steps to mastery. Eventually the Lady will not be separate to us. We will be as one. All with the gifts we held within Avalon awake and working. Theses alignments gently push souls into alignment ( some have been awake for years ) but it allows others to catch up and the ones awake to grow within their gifts.
Today many are feeling scared but not knowing why and lashing out at those that they feel threatened by as they will have no choice but to shift and not stay still

As the energy rises and the gateway opens. Embrace all it brings with the new awareness for your path and journey.

Well here we are in September.
We have had the first mild frost of the cold season today and it stirs my soul. I love this time of year. I always feel so alive. The bounty of the harvest is out there ready to be reaped by man and the wild life of nature alike. The fresh cold day upon your face as you step foot out of the door is priceless. Nothing can compare to that moment when your breath is taken away by the morning cold. The trees are already beginning to turn through the wonderful array of colour that they will bring us before falling to the earth ,to bring nourishment to the soil below. Everything within its cycle as nature intended. One of the last things left untouched by man. Out of man's control the power of nature. A beautiful yet untamed passage of time that awaits for no one. We should take more of our cues form the nature cycle. Only tending our own growth and not looking to see what others are doing around us.Nature is selfish. She does what is right for her at the time and from that she grows in beauty and wonder within each season. We must look to her for our teachings as  we walk our path. the time of the Old ones await us within the mystery of her being. We only need to stop long enough to be able to feel and hear her.

How does the Lady need us, as we need her?


I  feel that a lot of souls often feel quite in awe of the energies that come through to us and a lot of people don’t feel worthy of holding them.That they are unworthy of being embraced by the lady and the energy that she holds within. We are all within balance, we are all worthy of her and all she holds for us.


What I want to ask you is, who is the Lady? Who is She to you ? Who is She ? 


She lives within us, She’s part of us, the air we breathe, the earth we walk on, the bindings of our marriage, the wrath of the weather, but all of those things make us, we are her, she is not part and separate to us, we are part of the same.


We are the complete circle and cycle of the the Priestess within the lady and within the soul. to honour her is it honour ourself.
So the Lady needs us because by accepting that we are worthy of being her, we give her strength, we give her energy to those who are awakening, to those who are lost, to become heard and become seen because the more we honour and accept her into every aspect of our lives the more and greater and empowered she becomes.


 You have to embrace her because by embracing her we are embracing ourselves, that’s who we are. We walk in our bodies as separate individuals, but we are all one. All the other different aspects of beliefs and races and religions, we are all the same, she is the same and we are all one. 


So by embracing it we become part of it and she becomes us, she’s not outside of us, we only have to look within ourselves and take that breath in the stillness and the pause she’s there, it’s whether you hear her or not, that’s the key.


 That’s how She needs us, because the more we believe and embrace her the more we give her and always within the balance of the world we get it back, on every layer of our Soul Journey. Allow her in and allow her to become part of that.


For to deny that denies her being. For she is within every woman's heart and soul. We can bring her back into the hearts of man is we allow ourselves to embrace the simple fact , that we are worthy. We hold the power of her, she who is of all things within our very DNA. It is only a breath away if we allow ourselves to breathe the gift of life into our world.


This is how she needs us, for we give her the gift of life within every step we take and every word we speak.

Have you ever walked a day that you know you have walked before?
Listened to the birdsong that you know you have heard before?

Avalon lives within most of our hearts. For she hails her daughters home. Now she hails them more than ever, for she is rising and her energy is becoming greater. She is awakening her sons within the Druid and Merlins.

The dragon and unicorn, the guardians of Albion are re-emerging, being held within the heart of the child.

Have you ever dreamt of an Isle that resides through the mists, that is  just out of reach of the soul and hand?

She sends these reminders to you to awaken your step as you walk your journey, and now more than ever she needs us to remember. To awaken from our slumber and become the warrior of her truth...
